Kyle LoJacono, the founder and Director of Training at Freedom Running Club, has dedicated two decades to the sport of running as an athlete and coach. What began as a personal journey through XC and track competition, and ultimately, a lifelong mission: to help others achieve more than they thought possible through running.
Kyle's competitive journey included both triumphs and hard lessons. His collegiate career was cut short during his senior year due to injury—a result of pushing too hard when his body needed rest. This experience shaped his coaching philosophy . Today, he brings those lessons into every training plan he creates, emphasizing safe progression, long-term growth and smart, science-driven training.
Since 2013, Kyle has coached runners of all levels—from middle school athletes taking their first strides, to competitive high school and collegiate runners, to adults chasing new PRs or finish lines. With 21 years in the running industry, his depth of experience is matched only by his passion for seeing others succeed.
What sets Kyle apart is his commitment to evidence-based, individualized coaching. He has certifications from USA Track & Field (USATF), World Athletics (IAAF), Road Runners Club of America (RRCA), National Federation of High Schools (NFHS), and National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). He regularly grows his education, attending coaching clinics and studying the latest in exercise physiology, nutrition, biomechanics and sport psychology.
At FRC, Kyle blends his extensive knowledge with a deep respect for each athlete’s unique journey. Whether you're aiming to make varsity, qualify for Boston, or finish your first race, Kyle believes every runner deserves a personalized path to their goals—and a coach who sees their potential.
-Do you include nutrition counseling services?

-Do you give me a plan to train while I’m traveling?
Absolutely. We’ll provide flexible, equipment-optional workouts that travel with you—no matter where you are.
-Can you give me a plan of what to do at home in between sessions?
Yes. We’ll design a customized at-home plan to keep you progressing on non-training days, tailored to your space and equipment.
-Can you design a cardio training plan for me to do on my own outside of the gym?
Definitely. We’ll create a cardio plan that aligns with your fitness level and goals, whether you prefer walking, running, biking, or something else.
-Will you coach me how to do all of my exercises? Of course. Yes, we will work with you throughout the whole process to make sure you are confident in what is being asked of you for each workout.-Will you tell me to run until I'm exhausted and to stop eating all of my favorite foods? Nope! Our goal is balance in everything we do. We’ll help you safely increase your aerobic capacity with the right amount and intensity of runs and include your favorite foods while staying on track. -What is personalized training? Your plan is tailored to you and your goals and nothing else. You’re not doing the same workout as everyone else—and it grows with you as your fitness improves and goals are reset. -Can I do this if I’ve never really run before? Yes! Many of our clients are beginners. We’ll start with the basics and build your confidence safely and progressively. -Does FRC personalize the program for me? 100%. Every program is designed based on your goals, history, and lifestyle. -How will you know how to design the best program for me? We begin with a comprehensive assessment and conversation about your goals, fitness history and any limitations, so we can build a plan that fits you perfectly. -How will we track my progress? We use a combination of performance metrics, including your workout results and various tests throughout the training cycle, and goal check-ins to ensure you’re moving forward. Is there strength in your program? Yes, we include strength coaching as appropriate for you in your running journey as needed based on your goals.

How Do I Know This Is Right for Me?
-I’m not in great shape—will I feel out of place?
Not at all. Many of our clients start with little to no fitness background. We meet you where you are and progress at a pace that’s right for you.
-I’ve tried other programs before and didn’t stick with them. What makes this different?
We focus on sustainable progress, accountability and personal connection. Your program is designed for your life, not someone else’s. That’s what keeps clients coming back—and growing.
-Do I have to be motivated before I start?
Nope. In fact, many clients come to us because they’re struggling to find motivation. We help build momentum through structure, support, and wins you can feel.
-I don’t have a lot of time—can this still work for me?
Yes. We create efficient plans based on your availability. Even a few focused sessions a week can produce real results.
-Will I have to commit to something long-term right away?
No pressure. We offer flexible options and will help you choose the best starting point based on your comfort level and goals, including a 1-month trial to make sure this is right for you!
